Bleach ![]() Bleach © Tite Kubo, TV Tokyo, and Shonen Jump. Ichigo, a fifteen-year-old, orange-headed teenager who can see ghosts, and more, is entangled with more than just school troubles. He encounters a soul reaper, Rukia, who appears in his world to destroy a hollow. The hollow attacks Ichigo's family while going after a huge source of soul pressure, and Ichigo was not the least bit pleased. In frustration to kill the hollow, he risks his life and soul power, luckily Rukia blocks the hollow to save him. The only way to save themselves and his family was to make him a soul reaper! Unfortunately during the process Rukia ended up giving him all of her powers. Now Ichigo's soul is a reaper's soul, and he decides to use the new powers to destroy the hollows that appear. With that, Rukia inhabits a gigai and lives in his closet! Orihime and Sado become involved with Ichigo more than they should, and with his soul powers rubbing off on them, they too are able to see hollows. Last but not least, Quincy Uryuu and mod soul Kon are dragged in to the group. Sadly after 2 months Rukia is found out and is recognized in the other world as a criminal for giving away her powers. Staying in the mortal world for longer than she should have didn't help either. With Rukia away from the mortal world, all her friends are worried about her. So with the help from Kisuke Urahara, they leave their world and embark on a journey to the other world to save Rukia from execution! Finally Rukia is rescued and everything in Soul Society is peaceful again. Ichigo has even beed dubbed a shinigami representative of sorts. With that, Ichigo and his friends return to the human world, leaving behind Rukia to heal. Shortly after, another danger comes along and this time it's out to get Uryuu?! The Soul Society even send down Abarai Renji and Rukia to take care of this matter. However, these new enemies known as Bounts are not afraid of these shinigami at all. They managed to trick the Quincy into forming a portal to allow them into the Soul Society. Ichigo's group travels back there once again to stop the Bounts, especially the leader Kariya, from blowing up the Soul Society! And just when things started to calm down after the Bounts episode was finally over, a new group of shinigami-hollow hybrids come to the human world to recruit Ichigo! Oh man, Ichigo's going to be facing difficult enemies this time, and one of them is Aizen Sousuke's group! The shinigami-hollow hybrids known as Vizards are out to recruit Ichigo for the war, while Aizen's Arrancars are out to kill poor Ichigo. It's odd how Vizards are shinigamis who have gained hollow powers, while Arrancars are vice versa; hollows who have lost their masks and gained shinigami powers. How are Ichigo and his friends going to deal with this?! Not to mention, Uryuu has decide to desert his comrades to regain his lost powers! |
