Relationships

Ichigo and Family - He cares for his sisters and does not want to see them cry, so he vowed to protect them forever. He cares about his father, but can't take him seriously enough, and they tend to fight with each other when they are together.

Ichigo and Orihime - They've known each other for a while now, and Orihime has always had a crush on Ichigo. They end up working together to get Rukia back from execution in the shinigami world.

Ichigo and Sado - Before High School started, Ichigo picked a fight with some gang members, who tried to hurt Sado. Later on in the year, Sado tried to rescue Ichigo from the same gang members, and that's how their friendship began. They are good friends, even though Sado isn't very talkative.

Ichigo and Rukia - She appeared at his house one night to slay a hollow. In the end, Ichigo was the one to slay the hollow thanks to Rukia's powers transferring to him. They team up for a while and get along well, if that's how one would put it. He goes after her into the shinigami world to prevent her execution.

Ichigo and Tatsuki - They both attended judo (or martial arts) class together as kids, and Tatsuki basically knows all about his mother's death and all that.

Ichigo and Kon - Their relationship started from Urahara's soul candy. Unfortunately, that was the wrong kind of soul candy! Kon takes over his body and does weird things with it. He convinces Rukia and Ichigo to let him stay by shoving him into another object of some sort. Ichigo chooses a rag doll from a garbage can, and now Kon's a stuffed lion animal. Kon's forced to do his bidding and stay in Ichigo's house all the time.

Ichigo and Renji - First they start out as enemies, but they turn into friends when they both realizes their goals is to rescue Rukia. They still fight over something pointless when they are together, but that's just how they are.

Ichigo and Uryuu - Enemies at first, and friends momentarily for Rukia's rescue mission. They still remain friends, but rivals a bit at the same time because he's a Quincy, and Ichigo's a shinigami.

Ichigo and Urahara - Ichigo considered this man to be a bit crazy at first, but learned what he was truly capable of. Urahara trained him to become a shinigami again without Rukia's help, thanks to his underground training world.

Ichigo and Yoruichi - Yoruichi was a cat, with a human male voice, that can change into a woman. At first it scared Ichigo, but he got used to seeing and hearing both forms of her. They helped each other out, with Yoruichi as the guide, when they weree saving Rukia. She also trains him to learn the "Forever Release" (bankai) in just 3 days flat.

Ichigo and Byakuya - They were enemies to begin with because Byakuya didn't want anyone interfering with Rukia's death if it was law. After their final fight together, Byakuya realizes his mistake thanks to help from Ichigo. Before he leaves for his own world, Ichigo starts calling him by his first name.

Rukia and Byakuya - Adopted into the Kuchiki family as a final wish from her sister (unknown by her), Byakuya adopts Rukia even though it was against the idea of the elders. He didn't talk much or even open up to her. When she is sent to prison, he doesn't show any emotion at all. When her execution is prevented, and he realizes what he should have done, they become a little bit closer.

Rukia and Renji - They met each other as street children and grew up together. Together they attended Shinigami School, soon they were split apart because of her adoption into the Kuchiki family. He soon vowed to be just as strong as her, and everyone else to prove his worth. Later on before her execution, he wished to prevent it with help from Ichigo.

Rukia and Kaien - She was a member of his squad, and he was the squad co-captain. She looked up to him and his wife because of their personalities and acts towards daily life. Eventually, a hollow takes over his body and attacks Rukia. She pierced her sword through him, which killed him and the shinigami. She still blames herself for his death, but realizes that later on, it really wasn't her fault.

Hitsugaya and Hinamori - Even when she attended school, she still made daily visits to Hitsugaya. Eventually he became squad captain, and she was co-captain of another squad. He looks out for her like any protective brotherly friend would, and doesn't want to see her hurt.

Hitsugaya and Rangiku - Even though she's co-captain, she doesn't like doing work and would rather drink. She gets drunk easily and always manages to annoy Hitsugaya a little. Their relationship is friendly, and Hitsugaya tries to avoid drinking with her as much as possible.

Renji and Byakuya - Captain and co-captain. Even though Renji is the underling of Byakuya, he wants to fight him and kill him basically because of how he acted towards Rukia before. He fights Byakuya in attempt to kill him to prevent him from killing Rukia, but it failed. Eventually after saving Rukia, and Byakuya ending up in the hospital, they are friends again (if it can be put as that).

Kenpachi and Yachiru - She was a baby when he first found him. He took him in and gave themselves names. They because a captain and co-captain duo. Often, she rides on his back when they travel around the campus. Unfortunately for them, they have bad senses of direction, and Yachiru is usually the one giving them.

Urahara and Yoruichi - They used to be part of the Gotei 13, and eventually went 'mysteriously disappearing'. In fact, they have both been living in the human world with gigai and animal transformations. While in the Gotei 13, they developed lots of strategies and technology to improve the 13 divisions.
