Ishida Ryuuken

About:
Ryuuken is Uryuu's father, and he also hates being a Quincy. He knows that being one cannot support his wife and son, so he chose a financial job that could. He called his grandfather a fool because his grandfather was a Quincy. He also discouraged his son from being one too.

Appearance:
In the Soul Society arc when Uryuu remembers his past regarding his father, Ryuuken's hair is brown and his eyes are cold. However, in the Arrancar arc, Ryuuken appears before Uryuu with white hair but the same cold eyes.

Style:
As a businessman, he'll always be seen wearing suits!

Power:
In the Arrancar arc, Ryuuken appears from the shadows saving Uryuu from a hollow. This doesn't seem to make sense, right? Well, it turns out that Ryuuken also possesses the powers of a Quincy; in fact, he has the necklace/crest from his father to prove it. Having the title as the last Quincy, Ryuuken chose not to show his abilities up until now (not that he had much of a choice in any case; he wasn't relevant in any of the arcs, except maybe the Bount arc). With his incredible powers, Ryuuken was able to kill a hollow with just one shot - which seemed to happen in a split second!
